“It is with deep sadness that I, Tufayl, write these words announcing the demise of our co-founder and mentor, Dr. Nilesh Jain.

I’ll take the next few sentences to talk about Nilesh and celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. Nilesh was more than a partner to Nabeel and I. He instilled positivity and had an unmatched ability to help us navigate situations, no matter how dire. I’d like to think he’s made me, and those around him fearless to say the least.

He inspired our transition from FIXY to HOWL and we never looked back since. He believed in investing in people, and said that great businesses would be a byproduct.

His loss is not only to HOWL or his portfolio of companies but to the entire Indian startup eco-system.

I can go on about this beautiful human being, but the last memory he's left us is to smile and laugh even in the most difficult times.
